I have more energy than I have had in 13 years. My boss asked me to 'come over the wall' and help create the new organizational structure for the entire commercial lines division. They are assigning the whole office to me to fix. My original team told me they were genuinely happy for me and and excited to see how I am going to make it better. Timing is great as this is going to be a huge growth opportunity, but I am in a good frame of mind to tackle this. It was awesome to finally have my ideas heard!! When I pushed an idea, the CEO said 'I have complete faith in you.' We also discussed my salary which [my boss] has agreed to bump up significantly, discussed bonus structure, and I threw in education class reimbursement. I have been invited to purchase stock options, too. My friend at [competitor] called and said they need to find a place of leadership for me as I am too good an opportunity to pass up. They are a great company and I would be a big fish in a smaller pond. This could be the right move for that CEO position. Keeping my options open!!! So exciting how many things have come up since working with you!!
